INUSITADO

We explore innovation: exclusive wines with unusual oenological techniques.

The Inusitado collection is the result of the brand’s innovative vision, which emerged to house some of the new wine profiles developed in the innovation department, created in 2018. All the wines included in this collection go through winemaking techniques and other less common oenological procedures, exploring innovations and unusual approaches. Among the practices explored in this collection are techniques such as maceration, tanning, aging on lees and in various types of barrels, from different origins, types of toast and grains.

Inusitado Curtimenta

A unique white, fermented like a red, with the skins in contact with the must for 4 days. Made exclusively with Loureiro grapes from a privileged location in the Lima river valley, with mineral soils of granite origin, reflecting the freshness of the Atlantic Ocean. The grapes achieve the perfect balance between alcoholic, phenolic and aromatic ripeness.

100% Loureiro

After maceration on the skins for 48 hours in stainless steel vats at 12 ºC, fermentation begins with tanning for 4 days, intensifying the wine’s intensity, structure and persistence. Transferred to a cement vat at 16ºC, the wine completes its fermentation. It then rests in used Portuguese chestnut barrels for 15 months, undergoing bâtonnage. After stabilization and bottling, it matures for 6 months before reaching the market. Discover the complexity of this unique wine, an authentic expression of the terroir and oenological innovation.

White vinho verde, 2021 harvest

Given its structure, aromatic and alcoholic richness and moderate acidity, this wine is perfect with oven-roasted corvina with potatoes and vegetables, or chicken in a poke with carrots and greens.

It should be consumed at a temperature of around 12ºC, which is high for a white wine, but which a wine of this richness and structure needs in order to be properly appreciated.
