In the 15th century, Portuguese navigators began the odyssey of the "Discoveries", introducing the western world to America and enabling maritime trade with Africa and the distant lands of Asia. To commemorate this feat, the Ponte da Barca and Arcos de Valdevez winery created its first wine with an international grape variety, which today also travels the world: Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes come from a vineyard with an average age of 10 years. They are carefully vinified to extract the maximum qualitative potential from the grapes: gentle maceration, decanting for 12 hours, fermentation with selected yeasts and controlled temperature, in order to preserve the grape variety's characteristic aromas. Finally, the wine is kept in stainless steel vats in bâtonnage, then cold stabilized and bottled. Contains sulphites Download the Technical Sheet.
